Have 2. One on my bike and one on my wife's. 5 years on mine, 3 on hers. Both work well and look fine. No complaints. Started with 175mm length on my bike, but that turned out to be too long for my knees. Changed to 170mm and my knees are happier. The chainwheels on this crank are good for general purpose riding, touring, rails-to-trails, etc. You will need a wide range rear derailler, such as the Deore M591, with 45 tooth total capacity. With 11-34 in back that is 47 tooth, but it will work. 12-36 in back with 48-36-24 in front may be too much. I'm using SRAM 9-speed chains and IRD Alpina-D front derailler. With the 11-34 in back, this gives a crazy wide range. You'll have a ratio for anything.

I have two of these. One, with a 24 tooth inner ring on my bike and one with a 26 tooth on my wife's. Both have 48 and 36 outer and middle. These look good, mount well, shift well. We are both shifting them with 9 speed SRAM chain, IRD Alpina D derailer and Rivendell/DiaCompe friction shifters. With 9-speed 11-34 in back, shifted with Deore this gives a very wide range, reliable system.
