A chain whip is used in conjunction with a cassette lockring remover to remove a cassette type gear cluster. It keeps the cassette freehub body from ratcheting backwards while the lock ring is being unscrewed.
The chain whip is also used as a wrench to unscrew threaded sprockets.
Features hex socket to hold a Park freewheel puller. Fits 3/32" cogs only.

Comments:
Great whip, except when you encounter one of those REALLY tough cassette style freewheels that have the lock rings on so tight you'd swear someone welded it on. All and all though great tool.
