This is the only traditional platform pedal still in production. For use only with Toe Clips.
The large-area platform top makes this a great choice for cyclists who prefer to ride in soft soled shoes. The large flip-up tab makes getting into the clips a snap. Unlike older platform pedals, the flip-up tab still works even if you install pedal reflectors.
Aluminum body, CrMo spindle, 295 grams.Don't forget:
Toe Clips and Toe straps
Bearings can be serviced/adjusted in the traditional manner.

Bought these on a recommendation from other fixie riders. They exceeded expectations for solid sole contact and cornering clearance! No more mushy feel or foot cramping with gumsoles... Three nitpicks: - Narrow platform may not fit wider shoes. - Molded construction makes for a less durable toe flip. - Slightly longer platform body meant dropping DOWN a TOECLIP SIZE!! [smalls are tough to find:(] Overall I ♥ them. Quickly replaced other, nicer classic pedals. Performance trumps looks.

Great pedals for commuting. You can get a powerful stroke in with regular shoes, without putting undue pressure on your foot. The only problem I've had is that the tab on the back of one pedal broke within a year -- maybe a sample defect. I'm buying them again, though, so that says something about the product.

These pedals are quite comfortable given their light weight and simple profile. They don't strike the the road even in the tightest corner. Work with almost any ordinary shoe but I prefer BMX shoes with them. Also, I much prefer PowerGrips to toe clips. I don't know why this says they only work with toe clips when in fact I've been using PowerGrips with them for a long time now. I have used these daily to commute to work from spring to fall. In the winter I switch to a larger pedal for my bigger boots. They generally last 2 years and that's pretty amazing considering I ride every day, twice a day, in all kinds of weather.
