The Champion Special features large, hand-hammered copper rivets and a skived (beveled) skirt.
The B17 series is the most popular of Brooks's sporty models. They are an excellent choice for touring, century rides, ultra-marathon rides and other demanding types of cycling. The B17 is most appropriate for cyclists who set their handlebars about the same height as their saddles, or a bit lower.
All of the B17 models feature bag loops to permit the use of a traditional English-style touring bag.

This is the most comfortable seat I have ever owned. I ride to work everyday and usually ride atleast an hour or so after work. It forms to your tailbone unlike plastic and foam seats. Its worth the investment
Several years ago I fractured my pelvice. Upon returning to cycling I discovered that my sit bones didn't touch the saddle evenly which resulted in back pain. I rode this way for several months trying to think of a way to raise or lower one side of the saddle. Then I remembered the Brooks B17 I used to purchase from [...] shop in the east end of London in the 60's.I bought one and discovered it to be comfortable from the start. One thing that's never mentione is how the rider slide's on a leather saddle. This makes it easier to look behind when making a turn.I've now been cycling in the USA since 1975 and tried all the new saddles without success. However I've never used the saddles with cut-outs as it shouldn't be necessary if the rider is properly positioned/placed on the bicycle. I now hace Brooks B17's on all three of my bicycles and love em all dearly.
