I've had one of these on a recumbent trike for several years. The mirror surface is plastic and has become pitted and can't be cleaned. I also wish it was longer so it could stick out further. I see too much of my shoulder in it.

This mirror mounts very securely, does not move on rough surfaced roads, good viewing distance. The only CON is that the objects seen in mirror are closer than they appear. Have recommended this mirror to my biking crew.
