I installed this 3spd rear wheel and the matching front wheel on a 1963 Raleigh built Hercules bike that had badly bent rims and failed hub. The bike is now smooth and reliable. If you have a non valuable English 3spd that you love and ride everywhere but needs some help, these make it ride and shift like a new bike. If you have some rare valuable English 3spd you plan to restore and cosmetic authenticity is important this may not work as the hub and rims are instantly noticeable as non stock by anyone who knows these bikes.
