for a tall clyde, these are a great solid wheelset. Built a soma bike with them. They've been very smooth and stay remarkably true over fairly rough commuting terrain with 28mm panaracer t-servs. Out of the box they did require some additional truing for me, spoke tension was not bad at all, and I repacked the bearings. Nothing was out of spec, but as machine built wheels I wanted to tweak a little. I expect to get a lot of years/miles out of them.

Put a set of these on my old Bianchi Volpe along with come Clement Xplor MSO tires and these perform extremely well on rough terrain as well as on pavement. Highly recommended.

After loosening the hubs I have not a worry in the world that these will hold up. I'm done now with expensive wheels especially sealed bearing hubs.

I have an old Fuji Touring III that I aquired from the original owner. It had 27 in rims, and some clearence issues, so I wanted to go 700c. With advice from [...] I tried the 130 mm hubs, (orig was 126mm). The Dyads are extremmly solid, the tiagras really roll, comparable to top line hubs from the 70s (not counting Phils) Also bought at the same time a spoke tensioner & I firmly believe that anyone contemplating a big tour should have their rims dialed in with one. Live in [...]., toured in Az last fall(Tonto Nat.Forest, lotta dirt roads) and have total confindence in these wheels.
