This post weighs 265 grams. The head slides on a smooth semi-circle, there are no notches, so it's easy to fine tune the angle. The head clamp assembly and the post seem to be two separate pieces that are bonded together. Whether this makes a sronger or weaker seatpost, I can't definitely say, but I have more confidence in one piece designs.

I purchased this seat post to replace a substandard, low-end stock seat post for a Trek Earl single speed bicycle and what a difference! The double bolt clamp holds the seat in place firmly, yet adjustments are easy. It is also very quiet (no squeaking). I'm very glad that I purchased this instead of a far more expensive Nitto post. Highly recommended. Made in Taiwan.
