I have a totally sweet 1970's Yamaguchi 10 speed. I was going to keep it original, but I decided to go to alloy wheels and then I thought I might as well just upgrade the whole thing. The bad news is that these are the only brakes that will just bolt up that I could find, all others had a recessed mount. The good news is these are really great brakes. Do they weight about as much as a feather? No, but if you skip the lunchtime cheeseburger you'll lose more weight on your ride than you would on a pair of crazy expensive brakes. Just skip the cheeseburger, save yourself the calories and the money. They mounted in 1/2 an hour for front and back with new cables and housing. After getting them on I took out the bike to see how they worked. I was going pretty slow and instead of doing the smart thing and gently squeezing the brakes I hit them hard (as I would have needed to do with the originals) and nearly went for an unintended flight over my handlebars. I'm very pleased with this, definitely worth it.
