Comments:
I've noticed that most old English 3 speed bikes had black wall tires, rather than gum wall. This is probably the most correct tire for older English bike restoration. I had no problems with the tire bead seating on the rim, but if I had, I would have used window spray on the bead before inflation and probably higher pressure than recommended to pop the beads into place.

I bought this tire for my 1971 Raleigh Sports. Ive never patched so many flats in my life. Just bad luck ?? I dunno...
Comments:
Put these on my 3-speed. No matter what the pressure, I feel every bump in the road. Maybe its me but I feel like the bike is more sluggish with them. Spend a few bucks more and get some of the other great tires here.
