I replaced an 18 tooth with this and am VERY happy for a number of reasons. I live in very Hilly Vermont and I wanted to, on occasion, tow a bike trailer. This 23 tooth (or I suspect 22 & 21) makes the Shimano nexus hub much more useful in hilly terrain. I was able to use all gears on the bike while towing and in most hills. My knees thank shimano and Harris cyclery for this product. Be sure to use the technical diagrams available on the internet for your hup to make installing quite easy. If you can follow a basic cooking recepie you can install this sproket.

IT MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE AND WE NOW RIDE OUR BIKES ALL OVER THE COMMUNITY DAILY. PLEAS KEEP SELLING THESE WONDERFUL 23T SPROCKETS. IT IS GREAT FOR THE 55+ RIDERS.

I'm ordering my second one of these 23t rear sprockets. Made a big difference on my beach cruiser. Much easier to pedal now (easier to brake, too!). Installation is simple. You'll need to add a few links to your chain.
