Custom 9-speed touring cassette by Sheldon Brown

Based on the HG-61 series Shimano cassette.

It is generally good practice to replace the chain when you replace the cassette.

We recommend the SRAM PC-951 chain for use with this cassette.

This cassette will index with any Shimano-type 9-speed shifter, but will require a medium (GS) or long-cage (SGS) rear derailer due to the large bottom sprocket. Pretty much any rear derailer designed for use with a triple chainring should work.
